Muslim Youth Musings is a literary organization that is committed to working with Muslim writers to express themselves, enhance their writing skills, and engage in reflection about the world around them. We’re looking for team members to join us in our vision of crafting a generation of skilled and creative Muslim writers.

MYM Writer Cohorts

Our themed, five-month long writing cohorts are immersive, heart-centered journeys for Muslim writers to grow in craft and community. Through live events, prompts, and editorial support, you’ll find space to reflect deeply, write intentionally, and connect with others who share your passion.

• Craft Workshops on structure, voice, imagery, and storytelling essentials
• Guest Speaker Sessions with established authors sharing their journeys
• Reflection Nights for intention-setting, purpose, and remembering why we write

• One-on-One Editing Calls with experienced and caring editors
• Book Club exploring faith, identity, and belonging, and creative thought
• Monday Musing Prompts as weekly creative sparks to keep you writing

1. I want to join the MYM Cohort as a writer.

Description: Join an MYM Writer’s cohort that spans five months. Write at least one piece of literature (e.g., poems, stories, memoirs, or essays), meet other writers, and work with an editor on a one-on-one call to review submitted pieces before publishing.
